Earth Day Blooms in the Trackside District

Last Updated 4/23/2025

We Couldn't Do It Without Our Volunteers

In celebration of Earth Day, the Trackside District has come alive with color and community spirit! Over the past two days, 15 large flower pot planters were placed and planted along 11th to 14th Street, adding a vibrant burst of life to our downtown. These beautiful additions are more than just décor—they’re a sign of what’s possible when a community comes together.

A huge thank you goes out to the many volunteers who made this happen, including:

🌱 Central Community College – Wade Hilker and a crew of ag students
🌱 Business Improvement Board District & family members
🌱 Platte County Extension Office Volunteers
🌱 Columbus Bank & Trust employees
🌱 Cody from Country Lane Gardens
🌱 Keep Columbus Beautiful Volunteers
🌱 And the numerous other volunteers who assisted

Your time and effort are truly appreciated!
