Earth Day Fun in Frankfort Square

Last Updated 4/23/2025

TRAX Creative District and Friends fills the Park with Activities

Frankfort Square was the place to be this Earth Day as the TRAX Creative District hosted a lively afternoon filled with creativity, sustainability, and fun for all ages. The community gathered under sunny skies to enjoy a lineup of hands-on activities designed to celebrate and protect our planet.

Upcycled Art Projects, Plant & Seed Share and Lawn Games

Kids and families got crafty with upcycled art projects, giving new life to everyday materials in imaginative ways. Nearby, the plant and seed share table invited attendees to take home something green and grow their own little piece of the Earth. Laughter echoed through the square as friends enjoyed classic lawn games, making it a true day of connection and celebration.

Collaboration was Key

The event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of local partners, including the Columbus Area Children's Museum, Columbus Parks and Recreation, and Lori Woosley-Uden of Lori’s Wildflower Stand, who each brought energy and heart to the celebration along with countless other volunteers who helped make this event a success.

Earth Day Spirits Lives On

And the Earth Day spirit continues! 🌱 Be sure to check out the ongoing Seed Share Station at the Columbus Public Library, where you can pick up seeds to start your own garden. While you’re downtown, stop by the Columbus Community Building (2500 14th Street) in the Trackside District to view the Youth Art Exhibit in the Idea Box—featuring colorful, earth-inspired artwork from local young artists.
Earth Day in Frankfort Square was a reminder that small, joyful acts—like sharing seeds or painting a recycled masterpiece—can spark big change. Here’s to growing a greener future, together! 🌼💚
