A new holiday tradition is coming to downtown Columbus!

Join us on Friday, December 4, 2026, as the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) celebrates the first lighting of its beautiful new 22-foot Christmas tree in Frankfort Square!

The evening begins with the annual Christmas Parade at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Columbus Parks & Recreation Department.

Immediately following the parade, gather with family and friends in Frankfort Square for a little Christmas magic!

• Holiday Tree Lighting – Help us celebrate the first lighting of our new 22-foot Christmas tree!
• Meet Santa Claus – Santa will be stopping by the Square after his appearance in the parade.
• Free Hot Cocoa – Warm up with a delicious cup of cocoa courtesy of the Legacy Group.
• Celebrate Together – Enjoy the sights, sounds, and spirit of the holiday season in downtown Columbus!

The BID hopes to make this tree lighting an annual tradition, bringing our community together to celebrate the season and create lasting holiday memories.
