Grand Madam President Visits Platte #1834 in Columbus

Platte #1834 was honored to welcome a special guest on Monday, March 9, as Rebecca Pelkey made a stop in Columbus during her Nebraska visit.

Grand Madam President Pelkey was accompanied by Melody Trobaugh, Sue Little and Bobbie Lowery. During their time in the community, they were given a tour of Columbus by Past State Madam President Diane Wilken and Platte #1834 Auxiliary Madam Secretary Diane Langton, showcasing many of the highlights that make the community so special.

The visit continued at the Eagles Club, where members gathered for a small reception in honor of Grand Madam President Pelkey. The event provided an opportunity for her to meet and connect with members of both the Auxiliary and the Aerie, strengthening the sense of fellowship that defines the organization.

Among those in attendance was esteemed member and Columbus Mayor Jim Bulkley, adding to the significance of the occasion.

As part of the visit, the Auxiliary proudly presented Grand Madam President Pelkey with a $500 donation in support of her charity, the Brattleboro Retreat, a cause dedicated to mental health and wellness.

The visit was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate service, connection and community. Platte #1834 extends its sincere thanks to Grand Madam President Pelkey for taking the time to visit Columbus and wishes her continued success in her year of leadership.
