Inspiration and Process
"Growing up in the Midwest, I love the beauty found in the world around me," Rowe shares. "I am often awestruck by God's designs in nature and aim to represent them in my work." Through a fluid process of pouring, adding, and removing ink, she creates compositions that are at once realistic and abstract, echoing the idea that no two people perceive life exactly the same way. Her pieces invite viewers to explore how perspective shapes reality, and how beauty exists within those differences.
Themes and Meaning
Rowe's work speaks to the diversity of perception and the shared vibrancy of life. Her bright, saturated colors and glossy resin finishes serve as reminders that, while our individual viewpoints may vary, we all experience the richness of the world together.
New Directions
Recently, Rowe has begun incorporating etched metal and collage papers into her pieces. These mixed-media works highlight the power of connection -- how smaller, unique parts come together to form something greater. The added texture and dimension encourage viewers to engage with her work on a deeper, more tactile level.
On Exhibit Now
Rowe's artwork is currently being featured in Unbroken: The Art of Survival, on display in the Columbus Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the Columbus Community Building. The gallery is open Monday - Thursday from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday from 1-4 p.m. Visitors are invited to explore her stunning pieces in person and experience how her use of color, texture, and abstraction reflect both beauty and resilience.
