Featured Artist Exhibit & Workshop: Telagio Baptista

We are thrilled to welcome award-winning Nebraska artist Telagio Baptista to Columbus for a special exhibit and workshop experience! Known for his expressive, fluid watercolor style and stunning use of color, Telagio's work has been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions.

Watercolor is magical, an exotic medium with no boundaries

His exhibit, titled “Colors in Motion” will be on display at the Columbus Art Gallery at 2500 14th St, second floor. The exhibit will run from Thursday, August 7 through Monday, September 8 with regular gallery hours Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. This vibrant collection captures human emotion and movement through elegant line work and rich, intuitive color choices. Visitors are invited to attend the Opening Reception on Thursday, August 7 at 5 p.m., where they can meet the artist and hear more about his creative process.

In addition, Telagio will lead a Watercolor Workshop on Saturday, September 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Columbus Public Library’s Creativity Corner. The workshop is open to all skill levels and provides a hands-on opportunity to explore watercolor techniques directly with the artist.
