Explore the Trackside District's Sculptures and Murals

Spring has arrived, and there’s no better time to get outside and experience the stunning sculptures and murals in the Trackside District – Downtown Columbus! With warmer temperatures and sunshine inviting us outdoors, take the opportunity to stroll through the district and enjoy the incredible public art on display.

Don’t wait too long—these sculptures will only be here until the end of April! A new round of artwork will be installed soon, so now is your last chance to admire this year’s pieces before they move on to other communities.

That said, we’re excited to share that one special sculpture will be staying right here in Columbus! Tatanka, the magnificent buffalo sculpture, will now permanently call Frankfort Square home thanks to the Columbus Area Arts Council, which generously purchased it as a lasting feature for the community.

Plan Your Art Walk

To make the most of your experience, grab a brochure for the walk from the beautifully painted brochure holder located in the southwest corner of Frankfort Square on the 13th Street side. The brochure includes details about each sculpture and mural, helping you navigate the district with ease.

For an even deeper dive into the art, download the Otocast app, which provides a guided audio tour featuring insights into the artists, their creative process, and the history behind each piece. It’s a great way to enhance your experience and gain a greater appreciation for the artwork!

Cast Your Vote for Your Favorite Sculpture!

Have a favorite sculpture? Make your voice heard! Now through April 10, you can vote for your favorite piece. Simply scan the QR code on the brochure or send your pick to [email protected]. The winning sculpture will be announced later in April!

Thank You, Columbus Area Arts Council!

A huge thank you to the Columbus Area Arts Council, which has worked tirelessly to bring public art to the forefront of our community from 1981 to 2024. Their efforts have left a lasting legacy, and we celebrate their commitment to fostering creativity in Columbus.
