When Eric and Kim Dreher opened It's All Fun N Games in downtown Columbus, they had one clear goal in mind -- to create a family-friendly atmosphere that wasn't centered around alcohol or exclusive memberships. Drawing inspiration from their own love of imaginative and natural play, they wanted to provide a space where people could simply hang out, laugh, and reconnect. No screens required.
The Spark Behind the Idea
Once their kids were grown, the Drehers found themselves longing for a place that brought people together the old-fashioned way, through play. With a touch of nostalgia and a desire to offer affordable fun for everyone, they envisioned a non-electronic, unstructured game room where visitors of all ages could rediscover the joy of board games, cards and creativity.

Step into It's All Fun N Games and you'll find a collection of alternative games with familiar themes, alongside classic board and card games. Whether you're stopping in for an afternoon of fun or hosting a birthday party, the shop's affordable walk-in and party rates make it easy for anyone to join the fun.
Community Connection
The Drehers love being part of the Columbus community and have eagerly jumped into local events, including Columbus Days and other downtown activities. They take pride in being the "one more thing" that adds something special to community gatherings.
Learn, Play and Laugh Together
One of their most popular offerings is the Learn 2 Play series. These are free sessions designed to teach new games or revisit old favorites. This year, the sessions have taken place during the Farmer's Market on the third Saturdays at Frankfort Square, and the Drehers are excited to expand these events with gaming clubs during the week.
Looking Ahead
As they continue to grow, Eric and Kim plan to remodel their space to host larger events and add new attractions to keep things fresh and exciting. Their hope is simple, to keep bringing laughter and good times to downtown Columbus for years to come.
Supporting a Vibrant Downtown
It's All Fun N Games offers something unique to the south side of the tracks. They offer a welcoming, alcohol-free and all-ages environment that encourages creativity and connection. The Drehers stay engaged with their downtown neighbors through Business Improvement District (BID) meetings and local collaborations, helping to strengthen the sense of community and vitality downtown.
A Creative Touch
In additional to the fun and games, visitors can check out Eric's handmade wooden toy swords and imaginative props, a signature offering that combines creativity and craftsmanship. Custom designs are also available, making them the perfect gift for kids (or kids at heart).
