Business Spotlight: Tapestries Vintage by Terri Seiler

Where Antiques Speak and Memories Live On

The magic of Tapestries Vintage began long before the store itself. It traces back to the 1960s when Terri Seiler's father, Bob, moved his business, Bob's TV, into the historic Adams Cafe building, a local favorite since 1926. In 1967, as TVs found their way into more homes, Bob expanded into the space Terri now calls her own. It was Terri who first encouraged her parents to explore antiques and even suggested her father open a store after her mother passed away in the 90s. That early suggestion planted the seed for what would become her own creative dream.

A Dream Realized in the Heart of Downtown

In 2013, Terri took the leap purchasing the family building and transforming it into Tapestries, a vintage shop filled with soul, color and connection. Inspired by the vibe of the 1970s-80s Old Market style, she envisioned more than a store. She wanted a space with good vibes, good music and great finds. And that's exactly what she's created.

Every Object Tells a Story

Walk through the door at 1262 26th Avenue and you'll find vintage clothing, purses, jewelry, barware, pottery, textiles and sparkling glassware. Whether you're drawn to Southwestern, Boho, Oriental, Egyptian or mid-century modern styles, Terri has carefully curated each piece with a collector's eye and an artist's heart.

Tapestries isn't just about objects, it's about emotions. "People are surprised at what they see," Terri shares. "They come for therapy, for inspiration, for gifts and they leave happy."

A Collector, A Curator, A Creative Soul

For Terri, the store itself is art. She helps customers curate their homes, often starting with just one unique piece that sets the tone for a whole room. Her finds come from estate sales and sometimes, they find her. Customers bring in inherited treasures, confident Terri will find them a new home.

And for those who love a little mystery? Keep an eye out for her Deal of the Day. You never know what treasure might be marked down and waiting to go home with you.

More Than a Store. A Destination!

Over the years, Tapestries has become a must-visit for both locals and travelers. Former residents make special trips back to Columbus just to see what new gems Terri has added to her collection. What keeps people coming back is the experience. Each visit feels like stepping into a different world, one full of warmth, color and possibility.

Stop In and Stay Awhile

Tapestries is open Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment if you're looking for a more private shopping experience. You can follow along with Terri's latest finds and vintage adventures on Facebook and Instagram.

Whether you're shopping for a one-of-a-kind gift, looking to bring personality to your home, or just want to spend time in a place that feels like a hug from the past, Tapestries is waiting to surprise you.
