Downtown Columbus has welcomed a new space dedicated to wellness, balance and community connection. Root & Relic Apothecary, which opened its doors in June 2024 was founded by Jamie Badstieber and is the realization of a longtime dream to bring holistic wellness options to Columbus in a warm and welcoming environment.
A Dream Turned Reality
Jamie's inspiration for Root & Relic grew from her studies as she completed her Herbalist Certification. Amazed by the healing power of nature, she envisioned a place where the community could explore, learn and feel supported in their wellness journey. She invited her partner to join her, and together they created a space where visitors can find products, ask questions, or simple stop by for a friendly visit.

Beyond the Shop
Root & Relic is more than just a storefront. Each month, they host engaging workshops on holistic topics and their serene Reiki Studio offers energy healing and sound healing experiences. Looking ahead, they plan to expand their offerings with women's circles, immersive sound baths, yoga classes and wellness retreats.
Community Roots
Jaime and her team are proud members of the 13th Street Again group, actively collaborating with other local businesses and participating in community events like Taste of Columbus and Picklefest. They see Root & Relic as a space that contributes not only to individual wellness but also to the vitality of downtown Columbus.
