Celebrating a Milestone: Midwest Street Rod Association - East Central Chapter's 50th Annual Rod Run Car Show

This past Saturday, the Trackside District came alive with the roar of engines and the gleam of polished chrome as the Midwest Street Rod Association - East Central Chapter hosted its 50th Annual Rod Run Car Show. Car enthusiasts from near and far gathered to celebrate this milestone event, and the turnout was nothing short of spectacular.

Best of Show Winner

Ron Ivey from Oxford, Nebraska, stole the show with his stunning 1967 Ford Fairlane 390ci, earning the coveted Best of Show award. His meticulously maintained classic car drew admiring glances and praise from both judges and attendees alike. The competition was fierce, with close to 300 cars lining 13th Street from 29th Ave to 23rd Ave, each showcasing unique styles and incredible craftsmanship.

The weather couldn’t have been better, with clear skies and a gentle breeze making it a perfect day to stroll through the rows of vintage and custom vehicles. From hot rods to muscle cars, every car on display had a story, and enthusiasts were eager to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.

Multiple Food Vendors

In addition to the impressive lineup of cars, the event featured a delightful variety of food trucks, offering everything from bar-be-que to sweet treats. There was something for every palate, ensuring that no one left hungry.

As attendees enjoyed their food, they were treated to the musical stylings of Freedom Road. The band added to the festive atmosphere, making the day not just about cars but a full-fledged community celebration.
