Attention Downtown Property Owners and Tenants

The Trackside District - Downtown Columbus Business Improvement Board is excited to announce another round of funding through the Downtown Revitalization Grant! This initiative is designed to enhance and rejuvenate our downtown area, supporting improvements to buildings and storefronts to keep our city’s core vibrant and inviting for residents and visitors alike.

Important Notice

🚨 Funding is still available, but this will likely be the final round for this grant. If you have a project in mind for this year, be sure to submit your application before the March 31, 2025 deadline!

Who Can Apply?

The Downtown Revitalization Grant is available to property owners and tenants within the designated downtown area:
πŸ“ 11th Street – 14th Street (between 22nd Avenue and 30th Avenue)

Grant Details

πŸ’° Maximum Funding Request: Up to $30,000
πŸ’΅ Required Match: 1:1 match from the applicant
(For every dollar requested, the applicant must provide an equal amount of funding.)

Approval Process

All applications and design plans must be reviewed and approved by:
βœ… Business Improvement District (BID) Board
βœ… Columbus City Council
This ensures all improvements align with the overall vision for a thriving downtown.

Eligible Improvements

Grant funds can be used for various exterior enhancements, including:
βœ” Awnings – Boost curb appeal and functionality with stylish, practical awnings.
βœ” Signage – Improve visibility and attract more customers with updated signage.
βœ” Exterior Lighting – Enhance safety and aesthetics with modern, energy-efficient lighting.
βœ” Windows & Doors – Upgrade for better energy efficiency and a more inviting appearance.
βœ” Restoration of Original Architectural Features – Preserve and restore the historic charm of your building.

🎨 Painting is also eligible! However, painting projects must be combined with window replacement or façade restoration (for brick, stucco, and other exterior surfaces) to contribute to historic preservation and prevent exterior deterioration.
