A Practice Built on Purpose

Trouba Law opened its doors in downtown Columbus in July 2014 with a clear vision: to provide legal services with independence, flexibility and a client-first approach. Founded out of a desire to practice law locally and to do so in a way that prioritizes people over bureaucracy the firm has remained a steady presence in the heart of downtown ever since. In May 2025, Trouba Law moved into its current location at 1354 27th Ave, Suite 109, continuing its commitment to serving the community from the downtown district.

Deep Community Involvement

Beyond the office, leadership and service are at the core of Trouba Law's mission. The firm's founder, Jarod Trouba, actively contributes to the community as President of the Board of Directors for the Columbus Community Hospital Foundation and as Treasurer for the Columbus Area United Way. Regular involvement in community events and initiatives reflects a genuine investment in the well-being and growth of Columbus.

A Personalized Client Experience

At Trouba Law, no two clients are treated the same because no two situations are the same. The firm prides itself on tailoring services to meet the specific needs of each individual, offering thoughtful, customized legal support rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Looking Ahead

The future of Trouba Law is grounded in growth and adaptability. Plans include continuing to serve clients from its downtown location while expanding into more transactional legal work, ensuring the firm evolves alongside the needs of the community.

A Strong Local Network

Collaboration is key to providing well-rounded services. Trouba Law works closely with a wide range of local partners, including accountants, fellow attorneys, courthouse staff, law enforcement, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, title companies, banks, schools, mental health professionals and new businesses. These connections strengthen both the firm's work and the broader Columbus Community.

Invested in Downtown

As downtown Columbus continues to grow -- with additions like the new community building and library, the Innovation Center and revitalized storefronts -- Trouba Law remains proud to be part of its transformation. Maintaining a welcoming, well-kept storefront and supporting neighboring businesses are just a few of the ways the firm contributes to the area's energy and appeal.

A Friendly Face Around Town

If you're downtown, you might just spot the owner walking their chocolate lab, Maple -- an unofficial team member who's often at the office and always part of the daily routine. And yes, They always pick up after her.
