Cheers to Five Years! Ski’s Bar & Grill Celebrates a Downtown Milestone
A Family Dream That Became a Downtown Favorite
What started as a family dream has grown into five years of good times, great memories and community connections!
In October 2021, Terry and Leslie Stankoski opened the doors to Ski’s Bar & Grill, bringing to life their longtime dream of owning and operating a bar alongside their children. Today, Ski’s has become a familiar gathering place in downtown Columbus, where friends meet, celebrations happen and memories are made.
As Ski’s celebrates its fifth anniversary, we're raising a glass to the Stankoski family, their dedicated staff and the many customers who have helped make the past five years possible.
More Than Just a Place to Grab a Drink
At Ski’s, it's about more than what's on tap. It's about the people and the experiences that bring them together.
Whether it's enjoying live entertainment, participating in pool and dart leagues, or catching up with friends, Ski’s offers plenty of reasons to gather.
The bar has also provided a setting for some of life's special moments, including wedding receptions, graduation parties, baby showers and retirement celebrations.
It's these everyday connections and milestone celebrations that turn a neighborhood business into a place filled with memories.
Making New Memories in a Historic Downtown Building
Every downtown building has a story, and Ski’s is no exception!
Located at 2403 11th Street, the building dates back to 1890 and has served the Columbus community in a variety of ways over the generations. From a neighborhood bar to a barber shop and even a woodworking shop, its walls have witnessed more than a century of change.
Today, the Stankoski family is writing the next chapter, keeping this historic space active and welcoming while contributing to the character of the Trackside District.
Giving Back and Celebrating Community
The Stankoski family's commitment to Columbus extends beyond the doors of Ski’s.
Through involvement in events such as Puttin’ Around C-Town and Cornholio Across Columbus, Ski’s has helped bring attention to local businesses while encouraging people to get out, explore and support the community.
The business has also supported Big Pals-Little Pals by donating ice for summer activities, demonstrating how even small contributions can make a meaningful difference.
And if you've visited Ski’s, you may have noticed the colorful mural created by local artist Dillon Krueger. It's another example of how downtown businesses and local artists help bring personality and creativity to the Trackside District.
Five Years Down, Many More Memories to Make!
Reaching five years in business is no small accomplishment. It takes hard work, dedication, a supportive team and, perhaps most importantly, a community that continues to show up.
As Ski’s Bar & Grill celebrates this special milestone, we congratulate Terry and Leslie Stankoski, their family and the entire Ski’s team on five years of bringing people together in downtown Columbus.
And to everyone who has stopped in for a drink, joined a league, attended an event or celebrated a special occasion at Ski’s, you've helped make this anniversary possible!
The next time you're taking a stroll through the Trackside District, stop by Ski’s Bar & Grill, say hello and help celebrate five years of local business success.
🍻 Cheers to five years of cold drinks, good friends and great memories — and here's to many more, Ski’s!
