Help Shape the Future of Downtown Columbus: Join the BID Board
There are a lot of exciting things happening in Downtown Columbus — and many of them happen because local business and property owners are willing to get involved.
The Downtown Columbus Business Improvement District (BID) Board is currently looking for a new member to join the conversation and help guide future improvements within the district.
If you own a business or property or even reside within the BID and have ever thought, “I have an idea for downtown,” this may be your opportunity to get involved.
What does the BID Board do?
The BID Board works to make Downtown Columbus a more attractive, welcoming and vibrant place for businesses, residents and visitors.
You've probably seen the results of BID projects without necessarily realizing who was behind them. BID efforts help support downtown beautification, marketing and promotion, events, signage, seasonal improvements and other projects designed to strengthen the district.
Recent projects have included the expansion of downtown planters, permanent lighting at Frankfort Square, promotional efforts for downtown businesses and continued investment in making the district an inviting place to spend time.
You Don't Have to Be a Downtown Expert
Serving on the BID Board isn't about having all the answers.
It's about bringing your perspective to the table.
We are looking for someone who cares about Downtown Columbus, is willing to share ideas, listen to other perspectives and help make thoughtful decisions about how BID resources can best support the district.
Whether you've been downtown for decades or are relatively new to the district, your experience and ideas can be valuable.
Why Get Involved?
Serving on the BID Board gives you an opportunity to have a voice in projects and decisions that directly affect the downtown business district.
It's also a chance to learn more about what's happening behind the scenes, connect with other downtown stakeholders and play a role in determining what comes next.
Downtown continues to evolve, and having engaged business and property owners involved in that process matters.
