Columbus Screen Printing Begins a New Chapter Under Family Ownership

Last Updated 3/16/2026

For more than 35 years, Columbus Screen Printing has been a trusted part of the Columbus community. Founded by Tom and Jenny Schwank, the business built its reputation on quality craftsmanship and dependable service, specializing in custom screen printing and promotional specialties for local schools, businesses and organizations.

As Tom and Jenny transition into retirement, the business is beginning a new chapter while remaining in the family.

A New Generation of Ownership

Angela and Dusty Kerkman have assumed ownership of Columbus Screen Printing, continuing the legacy established by the Schwanks. Their goal is to preserve the values that built the company while introducing modern efficiencies that will help the business continue to grow and better serve customers.

By keeping the business family-owned, the Kerkmans are committed to maintaining the strong relationships with the community that have defined Columbus Screen Printing for decades.

A Strong Team Moving Forward

The transition also brings continuity for customers. Tammie Hofbauer remains a core member of the team ensuring the same expertise, service and attention to detail clients have come to expect over the years.

The business also welcomed Sam Sisco as the new manager. In this role, Sam will oversee daily operations and help enhance workflow and production processes as the company continues to evolve.

Custom Printing and Promotional Solutions

Columbus Screen Printing continues to offer a wide range of custom printing and promotional products for organizations of all sizes from 4-H groups and athletic programs to local businesses and community events.

Their services include comprehensive artwork and logo design as well as printing on a variety of items including:

  • Apparel -- T-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, jackets and caps
  • Promotional Items -- Coffee mugs, pens, decals and bags
  • Custom Projects -- If you can imagine it, the team can likely help bring it to life.

Combining Tradition with Modern Technology

Under new ownership Columbus Screen Printing will continue blending the personalized service of a local family business with modern production methods and technology. The goal is to maintain the trusted quality customers know while expanding capabilities and efficiency.

As the company moves forward, the Kerkmans look forward to continuing to serve Columbus and the surrounding communities helping schools, businesses, and organizations showcase their brands for years to come.
