Downtown Revitalization Grants available for Trackside District Businesses

Exciting news for business and property owners in Downtown Columbus, the Downtown Revitalization Grant is still accepting applications! This program is designed to support investment in our historic downtown by helping businesses in the Trackside District enhance their storefronts and improve the overall look and feel of downtown.

Grant Details

  • The grant is available to businesses located along 11th - 14th Street, between 22nd Ave and 30th Ave. 
  • Maximum Request: $30,000
  • Match Requirement: A 1:1 match by the property owner is required (for every $1 granted, the owner must contribute $1)
  • Approval Process: All requests and design details must first be approved by the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) Board and then receive final approval from the Columbus City Council.

Eligible Improvements

This grant supports projects that make a visible impact on the downtown streetscape, including:

  • Renovation, replacement or addition of awnings
  • New or updated signage
  • Installation of exterior lighting
  • Replacement of windows and doors
  • Restoration of original architectural features
  • Other exterior improvements visible from the street that positively enhance the building's appearance.
